Lacey Lou | Original Lace Monitor Goanna Painting

Lacey Lou

Part of the Twilight Natives series — four original paintings of Australian native animals, all of which can be found living around Albury, NSW.

Meet Lacey Lou — the best-dressed sunbaker in the bush. Lace monitors are among Australia's biggest lizards, and Lacey wears her bold black-and-yellow bands from the tip of her nose to the end of her very long tail. She can be up a gum tree in seconds, loves nothing more than a warm rock in the afternoon sun, and has been known to wander through a campsite to see what's for lunch.

Every scale is built up in raised dot work against a glowing violet sky, with ferns, flowers and hand-cut botanical stencils drifting around her.

One-of-a-kind, textured original painting, 30 × 30 cm, professionally framed to 33.6 × 33.6 cm. Free shipping within Australia. Available to Australian buyers only.
