Prickles Malone | Original Echidna Painting
Prickles Malone
Part of the Twilight Natives series — four original paintings of Australian native animals, all of which can be found living around Albury, NSW.
Meet Prickles Malone. Echidnas are one of only two kinds of mammals in the world that lay eggs (the platypus is the other), and their babies are called puggles. Prickles has no teeth, a long sticky tongue and a serious appetite for ants — and when danger comes along, a quick dig turns him into a very spiky ball.
Warm gold and brown spines fanned out as he snuffles through the ferns, set against a starry sky of teal, blue and violet.
One-of-a-kind, textured original painting, 30 × 30 cm, professionally framed to 33.6 × 33.6 cm. Free shipping within Australia. Available to Australian buyers only.
